Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) shares the business logic between iOS and Android: data models, the networking layer and validation, while the interface stays native on both platforms. Business changes happen in one place and reach both apps in the same release, with no drift in behaviour and no feature lagging behind on one platform. KMP is introduced step by step into the existing app, module by module, without a rewrite.
I have worked with KMP in an enterprise production environment since 2023: networking, data models, interop with existing Swift code, testing.
