Kleinanzeigen App

Context

The rebranding of eBay Kleinanzeigen to Kleinanzeigen — a complete brand change in one of the most-used apps on the German market, in live operation and without a feature freeze. Every UI change reached millions of active users immediately.

Task

Building the design system from scratch, in parallel for UIKit and SwiftUI: design tokens for colour, typography and spacing synchronised automatically from Figma, dark mode included. Existing UI components migrated to the new system step by step — every change covered by snapshot tests, A/B tests and feature flags in CI.

Result

The rebranding shipped without a feature freeze. What remained was a unified component base instead of scattered one-off solutions — and a migration path the other feature teams followed.
